The pub has three rooms; the comfortable lounge bar has a real fire for those chilly winter evenings, the small vault has a log-burner, TV and a dartboard. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the vault. There is a separate dining area and an outdoor patio with bench tables and a smoking shelter. The pub overlooks the Goyt valley and offers wonderful views all year round. Families are welcome.

The Royal Oak is well-served by public transport with bus stops right outside the pub (service 358 from Stockport/Hayfield) and Strines railway station (1.2km / 3/4 mile away) offers trains from/to Manchester and Sheffield. We have a small car park and on-road parking is also available.

We are very convieniently located for the Peak Forest canal, Strines Millponds (day fishing permits are available for purchase at the bar) and the Roman Lakes, Marple.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
